In a village under Minakhan police station of North 24 Parganas, a group of individuals entered the area with the intention of luring local Hindus toward religious conversion by planning to screen the story of Jesus at multiple locations in the village.
Our workers noticed the activity and immediately confronted them. After a tense exchange and questioning, the individuals apologized and fled the village before the situation escalated. They have not returned since.
Later, during a meeting organized for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, we interacted with villagers. Since the unrest that followed the 2021 West Bengal Assembly Election, many Hindus had stopped organizing out of fear.
Our efforts have now restarted community work in the village with the aim of restoring confidence, unity, and the spirit of Hindu organization.
